| Mozambique’s National Criminal Investigation Service (SERNIC) has detained twelve individuals for alleged involvement in sale of elephant tusks, hippo teeth and other protected wildlife products. The individuals were detained in the southern province of Inhambane, following an operation carried out by SERNIC and the National Administration of Conservation Areas (ANAC). The operation was carried out across the districts of Mabote, Funhalouro, Vilankulo, and Inhassoro. |
