THE SERVICEMAG HELPS TO PUT BURUNDI AND RWANDA ON THE MAP

(Posted 08th October 2014)

The SERVICEMAG, now published in Burundi and in Rwanda with separate editions, has established itself as the main locally produced business and lifestyle magazine which has become a reference point in its own right over the years in Rwanda and was enthusiastically received in Burundi, a country only now awakening from a long slumber.

The magazine, which is distributed for free and finances its operation through advertising, devotes a fair amount of space in each edition to the concept of quality services and how to improve service delivery and tourism features high in the content.

Publisher Sandra Idossou in fact is passionate about tourism, as she is about every other topic reported in her two magazines which are available at airport lounges, found on flights of Rwanda’s national carrier RwandAir and distributed in all of Kigali’s and Bujumbura’s hotels, among other places. It is there that tourists but also business visitors find valuable insights into the two countries’ economies and the way of life as it is lived in the two capitals of Bujumbura and Kigali and across the towns of East African Community’s geographically smallest members.

Last week did the management of the magazine invite the business community in Kigali to an interactive cocktail evening at the Kigali Serena Hotel, to showcase the latest 19th edition which came fresh off the press and get feedback from advertisers and readers alike. Sponsors of the night were RwandAir, the Kigali Serena, Bralirwa Breweries and MTN Rwanda among others and some 150 invited CEO’s and business leaders were able to interact after hearing various speakers and presenters reflect on service delivery and corporate communications.

For readers keen to check out the content of the two magazines and unable to get a hard copy is an e-version available via www.theservicemag.com
