(Posted 25th January 2015)

Kenya Airways yesterday received the third of an order of 5 new B737-800NG SkyInterior aircraft, boosting the airline’s fleet and adding much needed capacity on their regional and continental routes.

Over the next few months will Kenya Airways also add the remaining three B787-8 Dreamliners which will allow the long expected launch of additional destinations in China, with Shanghai and Beijing both on the drawing board.

The new aircraft arrived in Nairobi as a Valentine’s Day marketing campaign unfolds, under which couples travelling together will get a 50 percent rebate on the second seat booked, available to a range of destinations. With Valentine this year falling on a Saturday is this offer expected to be snapped up fast, with couples getting away to such fancy places as Zanzibar, where many resorts have offered Valentine’s special weekend offers.

Happy Landings to crews and passengers of the new bird.
