FAMILY FRIENDLINESS

Entumoto is a very family friendly camp. We have a pool and four
family suites, each with a capacity to take up to 4 children and
two adults. We have mountain bikes, we do game-walks, teach
kids to use spears, arrows, make a fire, nature medicin, maasai
dancing etc and the kids just loves our guides. Our askaris also
take extra attention when we have kids in camp.

Game Report:Entumoto Conservancy

Incredible is not enough to describe the variety of wildlife
In the Entumoto Conservancy. Only a year old now, One can
actually spot almost all the big five within the conservancy.

The rains that have been pounding the conservancy for the
last 02 months have left alot of green grass and the water
hole right in front of our lounge area has become a popular
watering spot for very many wild animals.
We currently have a herd of more than 50 elephants walking
into our conservancy along with over 80 buffaloes. In the
evening they all congregate at the watering hole for the night.

Lions have now found it easy to hunt in the conservancy due
to the numbers of animals. Only 02 weeks ago, we woke up to
a lion kill right inside the camp! There are now more than 07
lions in the Entumoto Conservancy, and eventually, we shall
have an Entumoto pride.

Our resident leopard is now being spotted almost every night walking around the camp.

the perfect place to be close to Wildlife is Entumoto Safari
Camp.

Community projects
Entumoto is since long engaged in several community projects
through Peder von Heland trust Entumoto and through direct
contributions from our guests. You can visit and like the trust
on Facebook to learn more. We have since long built a big
assembly hall at the Siana Boarding School, across the hill. We
are also in the process of starting construction work on a
kitchen, a dining hall and a vocational training kitchen on The
Girls Rescue Center, neighboring the school.

There are now close to 60 girls staying at the center after
running away from their families as they fear circumcision and/or
being married away at a very young age. We try to support the
center through direct sponsorship but also thanks to our guests
through direct sponsring of individual girls.

We have just now decided to sponsor two or more cows so the
girls can get milk and butter. Some of our guests who stayed
with us for new year offered to contribute to this and our
local director will scout for a very good breed and buy the cows.
We hope this will also work as a good example to the local maasai
as they will all have to change their grazing habits and thus
breed of cattle as all land is now privatized in the area.

All guests visiting Entumoto can visit our projects and get
involved in our projects.

Mobile camps
We are looking into setting up a mobile camp for 6-8 guests starting this summer at a beautiful spot by Sand River for the migration (July-August) then move over to a spot on the Mara River for the crossings (September-October) and finally move the camp out in our conservancy for walking safaris. The idea is to offer our guests a new and increased experience from the mara in ”true bush” (but with good services). Guests can book some nights in the mobile camp and then move into the Entumoto main camp for the rest of their stay.

We would like to explore the interest for this offer. Please give us your feedback!
