From Goat Herding to Lion Conservation: the Story of a Samburu Warrior

 Nashipai the Famous Lioness is Alive!
When our favorite lioness, Nashipai, went missing in September, we feared the worst. The aging lioness started attacking livestock frequently, so we thought she may have been killed in retaliation. But she lived! We got reports from our Lion Watch guides that she had been seen, and we later confirmed she is alive and well. Nashipai is such a well-known lion in Samburu that the Huffington Post even wrote about her – and our 12 year history together.
