The Lord Mayor of Oxford, Cllr Lubna Arshad presented Alain St.Ange of the Seychelles the ‘Nelson Mandela Leadership Award’ at an NRI Ceremony at Oxford University of the UK on Friday 10th May 2024.
In the presence of a full auditorium of distinguished NRI Members at the ‘Said Business School’ of the Oxford University, Alain St.Ange delivered an inspiring address at the event, speaking off the cuff and from the heart, as he is known for.
The Oxford University Award Ceremony was held on 10th May which was the date beneath the British colonial architecture of Pretoria’s Union Building that Nelson Mandela, after 27 years in jail, swore to serve the South African state and became its first black president in 1994.
Deepak Singh of the NRI had opened the Awards Ceremony before inviting Alain St.Ange of the Seychelles, the Chief Guest for the event, to deliver his speech before others, including Camila Pinzon, Miss World Colombia, took to the podium.
