Alon Bat Kare‘ is the key word for encouraging domestic travel across this French Indian Ocean island as the local tourism board IRT leads the celebrations of World Tourism Day.
La Route des Laves will turn into an extraordinary playground of the 01st and 02nd of October, i.e. this weekend.
Buoyed by the Tourist Office of Saint-Philippe, the association of artisans and merchants of Saint-Philippe, the Inter-communal Tourist Office (ITO) to the east, Volkan Koté Association of Sainte-Rose and Reunion island Tourism (IRT), the double event Magma’Gnifique & Alon Karé Bat! ® offers a rich entertainment program of activities and meetings in the heart of the basaltic slopes of Grand Brûlé.

For the second edition of Magma ‘nificent and the only edition of Alon Karé Bat! ® of the year 2016, the double event creates a bridge between the towns of St. Rose and St. Philip over the weekend.
On the ‘fertile‘ volcanic soil many activities await visitors from abroad and from across the island for a special weekend! Hike on the sulphurous slopes of Piton de la Fournaise, explore the lava tunnels, experience the bike trails or simply relax in a wellness Spa.

Free shuttles are available to ensure a comfortable traffic flow on each side of the recreation village. Notably will on this occasion the Route des Laves exceptionally be closed between the Virgin Umbrella (Sainte-Rose) and the gully Lemon Galet (St. Philip), from 08.00 hrs to 18.00 hrs to allow islanders and visitors to explore the location without vehicular traffic interfering with the fun.
