CONNECTIVITY FROM GERMANY KEY TO BRINGING MORE VISITORS TO REUNION

Reunion Island Tourism in partnership with Air France offers special fares for flights from nine cities in Germany to Reunion. This operation is launched in parallel with the communication campaign presenting Reunion’s new promotional film on German TV channels and on digital media.
As the leading foreign European source of tourists for Reunion is Germany one of the priority markets of the island. By broadcasting its promotional spot until October 14th on the German market, IRT – short for Isle de la Reunion Tourisme – is reinforcing the reputation of the destination in the German marketplace.
In order to increase sales in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, IRT doubled its marketing activities by cooperating with Air France, which now offers a special fare from € 653 for a round-trip air ticket.
This offer is only valid until October 8, 2018 for trips made taken until December 08th, 2018 and again from January 07th to June 30th, 2019.
Travelers from Germany can book a return flight to the island of Reunion at the best price from the following cities:
- Berlin
- Bremen (Bremen)
- Düsseldorf (Dusseldorf)
- Frankfurt (Frankfurt)
- Hamburg (Hamburg)
- Hannover (Hanover)
- Munich (Munich)
- Nürnberg (Nuremberg)
- Stuttgart
In order to communicate these promotions to the largest number of target travelers from Germany, Austria and Switzerland, IRT launched a vast digital campaign on German travel sites until 08th of October 2018.
Air France also conducted an online competition https://preview.airfrance-gewinnspiel.de/2018-08-reunion/current/public and offers two return tickets between Germany and Reunion.
