RwandAir’s Zambian Country Manager Ms.Glyden Mungaila has earlier today confirmed that the leading Zambian contender for the FIA Africa Rally Championship, Muna Singh Jr. and his navigator sister Ms. Jasmeen Singh, are in Rwanda preparing for the next round of the championship which will take place from 12th to 13th of this month.
Presently in second place does the Zambian Team Singh need to outperform their main rivals from Kenya and the Ivory Coast and then also score more points in next month’s Pearl of Africa Rally in Uganda, which is taking place between the 16th to 18th of September.
They have confirmed participation in both events after RwandAir came on board with generous sponsorship to fly the contestants and their service team to Rwanda and Uganda respectively.

Rallying is an increasingly popular sport in Africa and many classic as well as local and continental championship rallies take place with East Africa a hotbed of activities. Here is rallying led by the Safari Rally in Kenya which is expected to return to the World Rally Championship calendar in the near future again. As a result of wide coverage by local, continental and international media are the main rallies well attended by spectators and in particular corporate sponsors are keen to be seen to be part of the sport’s success.
