The Segera Retreat, still Kenya’s only officially ranked 5 star property north of the equator, has used the pandemic enforced downtime to add another signature villa to their portfolio.
The Greenhouse is a new 2 bedroom villa, blending the contemporary with the original ranch house look. Set in its own private garden, like some of the other villas does the villa offer views across the savannah towards Mount Kenya, a spectacular sight on clear mornings and clear days.
In addition to the bedrooms does the villa offer a sitting room, a dining room and an own kitchen, allowing the chefs to prepare and serve meals to the guests in total privacy.
Segera remains a piece of art in its own right, featuring art pieces by renowned artists across the sprawling property, a place which lacks a formal dining room and where guests have plenty of options to enjoy their 5 star meals, from breakfast over mid morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner.
Service is unobtrusive yet intensely attentive with the staff always at a respectful distance but ready to be at a guests side the moment they sense that something is needed.
Throughout the pandemic has Segera maintained its community and conservation commitments, remaining one of Kenya’s top conservancies enjoyed by guests when they are taken out on walks or game drives by guides second to none.
