Ol Pejeta Conservancy Launches a new Online Booking System with up to $10 Discounts on Entry Fees for Visitors |
Ol Pejeta Conservancy has become one of the first conservancies in East Africa to implement an online booking system for conservacy fees payment. The move is in a bid to support conservation through reduced/ zero paperwork.
From now till 31st December 2015, at least buying tickets online will be 10% cheaper and worth up to $10 discount on entry fee per person.
What’s more? Other packages are also available on the new system. In the future, the online booking system will allow Ol Pejeta Conservancy to spread its visitors across the year, a powerful tool to protect the environment and wildlife of the Conservancy. Conservation News
Serena Hotels has now taken up installation of energy saving jikos in the communities around its areas of operation. The project is aimed at improving livelihoods by way of providing an alternative source of income to these communities. Participants are taken through training on the installation of the jikos to empower them with the skill and they are encouraged to train others and also apply the skill to earn basic income. Additionally is Serena Hotels’ commitment to conserving and improving the forest cover. The jikos project will ensure higher survival rate of the trees planted and ultimately an improved forest cover. Look out for more updates on this project in the coming issues. Read more….. |
