Seychelles says a big thank you to UNWTO and Assembly hosts Colombia

Thank you Colombia and the UNWTO for a very successful 21st General Assembly says Seychelles Delegation

The Seychelles Delegation who were in Medellin in Colombia for the 21st UNWTO General Assembly said, as they boarded their flight back home, that they were delighted with the arrangements and with the planning of this year’s General Assembly.

Minister Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture was personally heading the island’s delegation to this years General Assembly. He was being accompanied by Anne Lafortune, his PS for Tourism and Sinha Levkovic, the Director of Standards and Regulations at the Ministry.

"As we left this afternoon we said thank you to Taleb Rifai and to his Team for a very successful General Assembly which again brought the world of tourism together with some 70 Tourism Ministers rallying for this year’s event. We also have to say a big thank you to Colombia’s Minister for Trade, Industry and Tourism. Mrs Cecilia Alvarez-Correa Glen for being the perfect host country" said the Seychelles Minister.

"We came to Medellin for our General Assembly, and we leave Medellin after five days of meetings we all agree that the UNWTO and Colombia had delivered for the Member States. So saying thank you is necessary" said Minister St.Ange of the Seychelles.

The next General Assembly is set to be held in China.
