Valbonne Villa, perched high above the valley, is the jewel of Tomjachu and ideal for group accommodation. With a breathtaking view of the reserve and Crocodile Valley gorge, this Lowveld home is filled with antiques, art, and memorabilia.

The villa offers 6 en-suite bedrooms, a sitting room, TV room, study, open-plan kitchen, and dining area. Its veranda leads to the garden, boma, and infinity pool. Valbonne Villa has won four Lilizela Tourism awards and is perfect for families and large groups seeking a unique bushveld experience. Guests can dine at the Homestead or book a private chef (subject to availability).

Climb into our open Safari Land Rover, affectionately nicknamed ‘Shrek’, with a knowledgeable guide to take you into the mountain bushveld for a close encounter with a variety of game, bird species and diverse plant life, including giraffe, zebra, kudu, blue wildebeest, warthog, mountain reedbuck and more. You may even get a lucky glimpse of the resident cape clawless otters!

Once you have explored the stunning surroundings, you can enjoy a sundowner accompanied by tales of the property’s history, and let the endless views and peaceful sounds of nature consume you.

Fishing

South Dam and Symphony Dam are home to a variety of wild fish species including bass, bream, and barbel. Fishing enthusiasts can enjoy casting their lines into the cool waters, while being surrounded by the tranquil environment of the Lowveld. Catch & release only.

Weddings & Events

We have a number of amazing bush locations for intimate weddings of up to 80 people, with accommodation for up to 30 people across the property. Celebrate with your nearest and dearest in the heart of the Lowveld. There’s nothing quite like a unique bush wedding at Tomjachu.

Day Visitors Welcomed

Visitors to the Lowveld are welcome to enjoy breakfast at the reserve, then spend the day fishing, hiking, or cycling. Day visitors are also welcome to book nature drives, picnics or our famous bush dining experience.
