Tune Hotels ready to open their first property in Kenya

NAIROBI WELCOMES TUNE HOTELS’ FIRST PROPERTY IN EAST AFRICA

(Posted 07th July 2016)

The countdown is now on for the official opening of East Africa’s first Tune Hotel, a growing global low cost hotel brand. On the 18th of July, just eleven days from now, will the Westlands based new hotel, located on Raphta Road, open its doors to the public, adding much needed 3 star rooms to the city’s accommodation portfolio.
Presently are 45 Tune Hotels operating in Malaysia, where the first hotel opened in 2007, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, India, Japan, Australia but notably also in England and Scotland. The Nairobi Tune Hotel in fact is the first on the African continent as the group continues to explore opportunities to add more properties.
News of the plans were announced here two years ago and travelers will have opening offers from as low as 995 Kenya Shillings, valid for the period up to the 31st of August while bookings for this exceptional deal close on the 31st of July.
With 280 rooms spread over 11 floors (60 twin/180 double/10 triple/25 family and 5 accessible for guests with physical challenges), a roof top bar, ground floor restaurant and a 6-11 coffee shop does the hotel offer the essentials a guest needs under a business philosophy that clients, like those flying with Low Cost Airlines, should only pay for what they need and use.
Affiliated with the Air Asia Group does Tune already talk of adding up to 15 more hotels in the East African region, going by announcements made in the past from Tune Hotels CEO Mark Lancaster. This is certainly worth watching in coming months to see just how much of these plans will materialize and watching this space will get you the news, as and when available.
Welcome to Nairobi, to Kenya and to Africa!
