Update on Cessna crash near Naivasha / Kenya

UKUNDA BASED CESSNA 210L CENTURION DESTROYED IN CRASH

More information has now become available about the crash earlier today near Naivasha.
The aircraft involved, a privately owned Cessna C210L Centurion based at the Ukunda airfield, carried the registration number 5Y-CKK and manufacturers serial number MSN 210-59950.
While one person was killed on impact did 5 others almost miraculously survive, one with reportedly very serious injuries while the other four escaped with non life threatening injuries.

Notably did a second aircraft also crash on the same day in Kenya, this one belonging to the Kenya Police Wing, a helicopter of Augusta-Westland AW159 make registered as 5Y-NPS, MSN 31717. The helicopter crashed along the Thika Highway near Mathare North / Nairobi.

The two pilots and two passengers thankfully managed to walk away from the substantially damaged heli with only minor injuries.
