Victoria Falls Rainforest Reopens After Elephant Scare

Pindula (Zimbabwe), July 21, 2026

The Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority (ZimParks) has reopened the Victoria Falls Rainforest to visitors after a temporary closure earlier on Tuesday, 21 July, prompted by the presence of elephants in the area. In a public notice, ZimParks had been closed for about two and a half hours as a precautionary measure to protect visitors, staff and wildlife.
