 Convention Bureaus set sights on Meetings Africa  With Africa’s Premier business event, Meetings Africa set to return this month in South Africa’s capital Johannesburg, convention bureaus and leading MICE businesses are targeting this avenue to chart a path to recovery. The event which was last held in 2020 is the main business event which begins the MICE tourism season in Africa. Read here Uganda scraps mandatory test for Travellers Travellers to Uganda will no longer be required to undergo a mandatory COVID-19 test at the country’s points of entry. The East African country’s Ministry of Health on Wednesday, February 16, said in a communique that “mandatory COVID-19 testing of all incoming travelers at Entebbe International Airport upon arrival has been stopped.” The decision which took effect immediately follows a cabinet decision on Monday, 14, February, 2022, the statement adds. Previously called Travel Forward, it will become WTM Travel Tech and offer more features for exhibitors and visitors at WTM London 2022 (7-9 November 2022).
