 Africa prepares for a continental meet up at Travel Indaba  A flagship of South African Tourism, the leisure trade show is one of the key tools the destination marketing organisation uses to position itself as a major player within the continent’s tourism landscape. Read here  Seychelles International Airport digital transformation boosts arrival processes The local civil aviation authority recorded its fastest screening times for arriving passengers at the Seychelles International airport in March this year, whereby an average of 43 minutes was logged per flight. The arrival processes include health, immigration, baggage delivery, and customs. Read more here  Let’s Africa’s Travel Indaba to show solidarity to KZN  Acting CEO of South Africa Tourism (SAT), Themba Khumalo is impressing upon the tourism fraternity on the continent to show support and solidarity for the KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) Province which has been battered by floods that have taken away scores of lives and destroyed properties and livelihoods. The city of Durban within the province will host this year’s Africa’s Travel Indaba from May 2-5 and the CEO believes participants can rally around the event to demonstrate solidarity. The WTM Africa tourism show was launched in 2004 and attracts over 6 000 travel industry professionals for business to business (B2B) exhibition for both the inbound and outbound African travel and tourism markets. Exhibitors in the DEC (Durban Exhibition Centre) includes, provincial authorities, provincial products and African Countries. In the ICC (International Convention Centre), exhibitor categories include accommodation, tour operators, game lodges, transport, online travel, luxury products, Hidden Gems, media publications and industry associations.
