Following the overwhelming success of the inaugural WordPress ‘WordCamp‘ in Kampala last year is the world’s most popular blogging platform returning to the Ugandan capital.

Wrote the organizers to their target group in Kampala:

Good afternoon team. I want to thank you all for your contribution to the community and all its activities. Trust me I don’t take it for granted. Today our meetup group is a total of 801 second biggest in Uganda after GDG and second largest community of WordPress after Nairobi. To me I feel I have played my role and brought impact to the tech community. However this would have never been possible without the hard work of people like @Peter Kakoma, Doreen, @Laurence Bahiirwa, @David, Julius Mukalele and all those who have been regular attendees.

Due to preparations for our Second WordCamp and in the vision to making it the best event you have ever attended we shall not have meetups in September and October. I call upon all those who have not yet submitted their their speaker’s application to please do so because am required to close speaker applications by 20th September. Please apply to become a speaker via https://2018.kampala.wordcamp.org/2018/07/26/call-for-speakers/

Those who are interested in being sponsor I want you to know that sponsorship is not all about money you can sponsor in kind of your services or equipment. Go ahead and apply via https://2018.kampala.wordcamp.org/2018/07/26/call-for-sponsors/

Tickets are also open. Payment through https://2018.kampala.wordcamp.org/tickets/. Tickets go for Ushs.22000 or $5 per head. The ticket fee is to cater for your meals, shirt, and entry in all sessions over the 3 days from 23rd November to 25th November 2018.

It is expected that this second WordPress seminar will again be a sellout as the line up of speakers, presenters and panel sessions, all addressing key topical issues for the local WordPress community, promise to once again captivate the audience and provide additional skills and knowledge to newcomers as well as old hands.
