| As our first in-person post-pandemic event, we are thrilled to announce that WTM Africa 2022 had close to 12,500 appointment requests and facilitated over seven thousand unique pre-scheduled appointments. And that’s not all. We also experienced: An attendee increase of more than 7% compared to 2019 More than six thousand visitors returning in 2022 (on par with 2019 figures) 187 speakers in over 63 content sessions at WTM Africa A representation of 12 international countries, 20 African countries and seven of South Africa’s nine provinces 87% of new buyers who had never attended Africa Travel Week before Buyers from new source markets, such as Thailand, Malaysia and Japan New exhibitors including the National Tourism Board of Sierra Leone and the Korea Tourism Organisation A fitting reflection of an industry that wants to get back to work! |
| WTM Africa 2023: Colour your World |
| As part of Africa Travel Week 2023, WTM Africa will return to our Host City of Cape Town. WTM will be held at the CTICC from 03rd to 05th of April 2023, with ILTM Africa returning to Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens, from 31st of March to 02nd of April. And as for the theme of Africa Travel Week 2023? We’ve decided on ‘Colour your World’ – not just to celebrate our industry and how far we have come, but to emphasise the benefits of travel and tourism in bringing cultures together, creating opportunity, and developing a more inclusive world. |
