#Zimbabwe grants traffic and landing rights to eSwatini Air and Zambia Airways

The Zimbabwe Civil Aviation Authority has granted rights for scheduled flights into Harare for two new national airlines, eSwatini Air and Zambia Airways.

It is not yet clear when either airline intends to take up the traffic rights and start operating flights between Lilongwe or Lusaka respectively to Harare but ATCNews will monitor the situation and report launch dates as and when available.

Zimbabwe’s tourism industry is currently making a major push to regain international marketshare and will be attending a series of tourism trade shows over the coming weeks, both overseas and in Africa.

Air transport plays a key role for a landlocked country like Zimbabwe and passenger numbers have been steadily rising over the past months, since all Covid19 restrictions have been lifted.
