This week’s AeroTrail Africa Fleet Trail is headlined by Uganda Airlines‘ landmark aircraft order at the 2026 Farnborough International Airshow—the carrier’s first-ever direct purchase from Boeing. The acquisition of four Boeing 737-8 MAX and four Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft represents a defining milestone in the airline’s fleet modernization strategy, strengthening its regional and long-haul capabilities while reinforcing Entebbe‘s ambition to become a leading aviation hub for East and Central Africa.
The edition also highlights Air Seychelles‘ lease of two Airbus Aircraft A321XLR aircraft—the first commitment to the A321XLR by an African airline. Also featured are Fly Air Zimbabwe‘s addition of an Airbus A330-300, together with the latest aircraft deliveries, leasing agreements, and fleet modernization initiatives shaping the future of African #aviation.
