#AirSeychelles supports MCB Golf Tour Championship

AIR SEYCHELLES FLIES PROFESSIONAL GOLFERS TO HOME TURF FOR THE MCB TOUR CHAMPIONSHIP INDIAN OCEAN SWING

Air Seychelles today operated a special flight from Mauritius to the Seychelles for the second stage of the MCB Tour Championship Indian Ocean Swing set to take place over the upcoming weekend in Praslin.

The Airbus A320 aircraft took off from Mauritius at 13:30pm landed at the Seychelles International Airport in the afternoon at 3pm carrying a delegation 32 professional golfers together with Staysure Tour Officials, MCB partners as well as top international media representatives.

Greeted by a delegation combining of both the Air Seychelles staff and representatives from the Seychelles Tourism Board (STB), upon arrival, the delegation proceeded to the airlines’ VIP Lounge to complete all the immigration and customs formalities prior to departing to the second biggest island of the Seychelles, Praslin on board the national airline Twin Otter aircraft.

The four Twin Otters which were lined up on the ramp to facilitate the transportation of the golfers and their spouses departed the Seychelles International Airport between 4pm to 4:45pm ten minutes after each other en route to Iles des Palmes Airport in Praslin.

Sports competitions are built around the spirit of friendship and having worked intensely with the STB over the past months, as the flag carrier of the Seychelles we are indeed very proud to have played a part in supporting the development of sports tourism in the Seychelles. I am pleased that everything worked out as planned today and with that, I would like to first of all express my gratitude to our team at Air Seychelles who have been involved in the fruition of this project, the Seychelles Civil Aviation for working closely with us to coordinate several aspects of the project and also the local tourism board for their continuous support throughout.”

With views overlooking three beautiful beaches in Praslin including the famous Anse Georgette beach, the 18-hole award-winning golf course at the Constance Lemuria hotel which spans over an area of 5,580 metres will be the host for the eight edition of the final MCB – Staysure 2018 Tour Season.
