RWANDAIR SET FOR RESUMPTION OF DOMESTIC FLIGHTS TO KAMEMBE IN JULY
(Posted 24th March 2015)
The Rwanda Civil Aviation Authority has confirmed that the ongoing runway extension and re-surfacing will be completed on schedule by the end of June this year.
RwandAir in turn has confirmed that they will resume their daily flights in early July, using one of their Bombardier Q400NextGen aircraft for the route, just as soon as the RCAA has formally reopened the airport for operations.
Flights were halted at the beginning of November last year to allow for the work to go ahead and passengers, many of them from across the border in Congo, are presently using busses to travel to Kigali and begin their air travel from there.
