Kenya Tourism hosts ‘Bollywood’ producers

BOLLYWOOD SCOUTING FOR LOCATIONS IN MAGICAL KENYA

(Posted 22nd June 2016)

Kenya Tourism this evening hosted a cocktail reception at the Sankara Hotel for a group of visiting film producers from ‘Bollywood‘, arguably the most prolific film production location in the world.
The top seven producers are on tour in Kenya to scout for potential locations for upcoming productions and were reportedly enchanted by some of the stunning sights they discovered, at the coast as well as across the country inside and outside the famous safari parks.

Kenya, through the Kenya Film Commission, is working towards establishing the country as a major film location destination, which not only brings cash into the economy per se but provides that priceless backdrop in Indian movies which might very well entice more visitors from the subcontinent to opt for a holiday in Kenya to see those sights.

Also on board for the evening was Kenya Airways with Marketing Director Chris Diaz doing the honours, as the national airline flies daily from Nairobi to Mumbai and back, using a Boeing B787 Dreamliner, the fastest and easiest connection between Kenya and India.
