KWS to host Mexican economist on wildlife trade issues: an economist’s perspective

As part of the discussions for the upcoming CITES meeting in September this year in South Africa, will KWS in the morning of Friday, February 26th at 9.30am at Nairobi Safari Walk host a leading Mexican economist Prof. Alejandro Nadal to discuss the Economics of Wildlife trade with our relevant Stakeholders including:

· CITEs office stakeholders

· Representative wildlife Industry stakeholders

· Representative Youth Forums

· Representatives Diplomatic Corps &

· KWS Senior Management

The topic of discussion will be:

‘Challenges facing Endangered Wildlife through the trade mechanisms provided for in CITES’
