Nairobi selected as venue for IATA’s 2015 Africa / Middle East Aviation Day

IATA ANNOUNCES AFRICA / MIDDLE EAST AVIATION DAY MEETING IN JUNE

IATA has announced that their 2015 Aviation Day for Africa and the Middle East will take place from the 23rd to 24th of June at the InterContinental Hotel in Kenya’s capital city of Nairobi.

The global aviation body expects in excess of 250 participants from airlines, air navigation providers, international and regional organizations linked to aviation, airports, government agencies, aviation suppliers, aircraft manufacturers and of course the aviation media to attend the two day conference, which theme this year will be ‘Connecting Africa – The linkage of Regulation, Capacity and Infrastructure’.

The event will provide a forum for stakeholders to discuss among many other issues

· The impact of smart and well-tailored regulations in driving the industry and economy of Africa

· The Road to liberalization; how to navigate the path to open intra-Africa markets

· The optimal deployment of physical and human capacity in the aftermath of enabling regulation

· Infrastructure development- adequacy and utilization in Africa
