RwandAir’s plans to commence flights to Guangzhou in China later this year were given a huge boost after the Chinese aviation authorities have granted landing rights.
It is understood that the airline may launch flights to Guangzhou in combination with Mumbai, after reportedly securing fifth freedom traffic rights between Mumbai and Guangzhou.
Flight to India are presently operated with a two class configured Boeing B737-800NG but information at hand suggests that the aircraft may be upgraded to an Airbus A330. The airline has two additional A330-900NEO’s on order due for delivery later this year.
RwandAir is also planning to add more African routes to their destination network this year – Addis Ababa is coming on line in April – and is also in the process of securing relevant permits for flights between Kigali and New York.
