| Tanzania has called for enhanced regional cooperation to combat the illegal trade of wildlife and forest products across borders, emphasizing that protecting natural resources requires collective action beyond national boundaries. The appeal was made during a session of the Lusaka Agreement Governing Council held in Nairobi, Kenya. Dr. Ashatu Kijaji, Tanzania’s Minister of Natural Resources and Tourism and President of the 14th Bureau of the Governing Council, stressed that regional collaboration remains a critical tool in dismantling international networks involved in poaching and illegal wildlife trafficking. |
