Uganda takes Tourism campaign to Zurich.

The Embassy of Uganda in Switzerland has partnered with leading Swiss African travel specialist Private Safaris to launch a major tourism promotion campaign aimed at increasing Uganda’s visibility and attracting more Swiss visitors to the country.

The initiative forms part of the Embassy’s ongoing efforts to position Uganda as a distinctive tourism destination in the Swiss market and increase tourist arrivals, spending and length of stay from Switzerland.

 

Switzerland is an important source market for Uganda’s tourism sector, with Swiss travellers known for frequent international travel and strong spending power. Against this backdrop, hashtag
Zurich—Switzerland’s largest city was strategically selected for a high-impact promotional campaign targeting residents, commuters and international visitors.

Beginning 16 September 2026, eye-catching advertisements featuring Uganda’s spectacular wildlife, landscapes and nature experiences are being displayed on trams operating across Zurich. The campaign is designed to bring Uganda’s tourism attractions directly into the daily lives of potential travellers, particularly high-income audiences with an interest in premium international travel.
