UPDATE ON NAIROBI SERENA HOTEL REFURBISHMENT

Nairobi Serena Hotel is pleased to announce the completion of the phase one of its ongoing refurbishment. The refurbishment program is in line with Serena Hotels commitment of continuous improvement of its product and is aligned to respond to global trends and needs of leisure and corporate clientele. The five-star hotel is a member of the Leading Hotels of the World and is well known for preserving the rich Pan-African inspired culture expressed through its interiors and unique décor accents.

The new facilities on the hotel’s north wing includes, 95 fully upgraded guest rooms, Hotel reception and lobby, state-of-the-art conference Centre, New executive lounge and the parking silo. The rooms feature double glazed acoustic windows, enhanced fire, security and safety systems in compliance with international standards. New high-speed lifts, energy efficient mood lighting and modern air conditioning systems have also been installed.

The second phase (south wing) of the hotel’s refurbishment commenced in September 2018 and is expected to be completed by the second quarter of 2019 when the full room inventory of 199 rooms-across a wide range of room types will be in operation. During construction, works will take place from 0800H to 1700H on weekdays and 0900H to 1300H on Saturdays, with no activity scheduled for Sundays.

This phase of refurbishment has incorporated the Hotel swimming pool renovation. The work is anticipated to take 4 – 6 weeks and over this period the pool will remain closed till 08th February 2019. Please note during this period we have made alternative arrangements for all our guests who would like to swim, details are provided at the Front desk.
