ENTEBBE BECOMES A STAND ALONE DESTINATION AGAIN FOR FLYDUBAI AFTER KINSHASA IS DROPPED

The four flights a week between Dubai and Kinshasa, via Entebbe, have come to an end when FlyDubai on 01st of February discontinued the route to the Congolese capital. The flights took place every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
No reasons were given by the time of filing the article what prompted the move, be it low occupancies or other challenges encountered at the Kinshasa airport.
Flights to Entebbe will however continue, albeit with a changed schedule, now that the Boeing B737-800NG can directly turn around and commence the return flight without having to first fly to Kinshasa and back to Entebbe.
Fly Dubai continues to serve 11 other destinations besides Entebbe in Africa, among them Zanzibar, Dar es Salaam, Juba, Khartoum, Port Sudan, Addis Ababa, Asmara, Djibouti, Hargeisa and Alexandria.
